For those struck down with formerly intractable dysfunctions like ischemic stroke, the delay in recognizing the role of inflammation in the brain is frustrating, but that delay is now history.

Treatments are now available for post-stroke recovery that reduce inflammation and bring about remarkable recovery.  We hope that a similar dawn will soon enlighten the research into causes and treatments of other dysfunctions of the nervous system.
